Carwin has won 12 straight fights in a row and is now about to fight for the belt. You shouldn't be handed a tilte fight coming directly off of a loss. I really don't see how you can argue for that logic. rogers seemed like logical choice @ the time due to the circumstances @ the time (reem). was coming off big win over name fighter (arlovski). SF didnt have many options.
i think he talked his way into the fight with reem and SF has to have more HW fights than just fedor. rogers had a name there for a bit and stock rose in his fight w/fedor. hes a relevant HW fighter for SF IMO.|||

If you mean the possibility of 'Reem fighting Rogers before Fedor was signed, then you still kind of don't have a point. From what I remember, that fight was only talked about, but never signed because 'Reem wanted to do the K-1 stuff.
I won't disagree that were Rogers to have fought Overeem for the belt before Fedor was signed to SF, then yeah, that would have made more sense. The 'WAMMA' belt is not an SF belt. Its a 'lifetime' achievement award that.....Fedor and M-1 basically created and awarded themselves haha (kidding, well, sorta).
