People need to look at things for what they are, accept them, and move on to enjoying the shows that each org is actually able to put on. Regardless of who's co-promoting or not, or who's paying out the most money or not.
Even in the free wheeling world of boxing fan favorite match-ups are hard to come by, hell you could argue that they are much more rare than in MMA. I mean, look how damn long it took for Flloyd to fight Shane lol.
I admit the UFC is the top org in the world right now not because I am a 'UFC' guy, but because I know the damn score lol. I could care less if the UFC folded up shop and Strike Force signed all their fighters tomorrow. You know what? I would then start telling people that SF is the #1 org. Why? Because they would have the best and largest gathering of the best under 1 roof.
Its like admitting that your rival team in a 'team' sport has a better team than you. It doesn't mean you 'like' that other team, it just means you apply logic and common sense mixed with realization to pass your judgement.
I think too many people invest too much emotion into these orgs. Its reminding me of the rivalry between the WWF and the WCW back when I was a kid haha. I would much rather see people investing this type of 'fandom' to fighters individualy than to one entire org.||||||
