This one right here kind of p*sses me off. For the same reasons I felt Fedor should have fought Overeem, I feel that JDS should be fighting Cain. They are the 2 best HW's in the UFC right now besides the 2 guys about to fight for the belt (Carwin and Lesnar). Why not have the 2 of them duke it out to figure out who gets the next title shot?
Also, Sonnen Vs Anderson really doesn't do anything at all for me. I'd rather see Anderson Vs Belfort now that Vitor is healthy and calling out Anderson. Sonnen can wait imo, let Anderson and Belfort fight at a catch weight and give the fans what they want.
Its not their worst card, but I'm not all that excited about it TBH. It could be much better if they wanted it too be.|||

Henderson is a greco roman wrester which is upper body. and Chael is a collegiate wrestling which is legs big difference.. But i think Chael has a chance at Silva|||

no.. they're smart. Why give one of these guys a recent loss when they're both at the top of their game right now. They are being saved for consecutive title shots. They both will for sure get the shots. Cain first, thats pretty much understood. Then if JDS wins this and maybe one more to pass the time, then he for sure will be built up enough in the fans eyes.
And Sonnen is a no bs fighter, we all know what he's gonna do, and it is something that hasn't been seen with silva in a while, see if he's any better off his back than before. I don't think Silva is good from guard, and sonnen is very active down there. I hope to see Silva lose some rounds. I think it is very possible, and it should be much MUCH better than silva's last fight|||

I understand exactly what they're doing. I just don't agree with it. I want to see the best fight the best to prove that they are...the best. And TBH, I don't see the harm in letting Cain and JDS fight for the next shot in line at the belt. There is less risk of damaging either guys reputation with a loss at the hands of the other as opposed to risking them losing to guys who aren't viewed as wordl beaters. Seems to me that the UFC is actually taking a bigger risk in one of them possibly losing before they meet one another, or before they actually get a title shot. As much as I don't think Roy Nelson is a world beater, he's no slouch. His grappling is damn good, and up top, if he connects, it could be a long night for JDS. I expect JDS to win (he is the better MMA fighter imo) but that doesn't mean he can't lose here. I just think for JDS or Cain to lose, it would look better than for them to lose to someone else. Not only that, but the next guy to fight for the belt is supposed to be the next best guy in line at the time. What better way to prove who that is than by having Cain and JDS square off for that honor?

He beat Henderson after he (Anderson) was put into guard (and Dan Henderson>>>>>>Sonnen (R) ). He also beat Travis Lutter (a VERY highly decorated BJJ BB) on the ground as well from the guard. So, theres two very well decorated grapplers, one wrestler, one BJJ expert, who Silva was able to outclass from the guard on the mat. And I wouldn't put Chael on either of those guys levels as far as teh grappling goes.
I'd say that Silva is pretty damn good from anywhere inside of a cage against anyone at any skill level. His up-kicks are known to be lethal as well BTW.
Sonnen (R) is going to struggle to shoot and take Anderson down, he will eat shots and will eventually be picked apart as the fight moves forward. The biggest problem I see for Sonnen (R) in this fight is the difference in speed (think Anderson Vs Forrest) except Sonnen is more of wrestler and actually has less stand-up to offer than Forrest did.
I don't see this fight going past 2 rounds, and it won't be pretty for Sonnen (R) imo. Its just a bad style match-up. If Anderson loses this fight, it will be because he is careless.
I'd much rather see Anderson fighting Vitor Belfort than Chael Sonnen (R).|||

Aww cmon Travis looked terrible due to the weight cut in that fight and he almost beat silva. How can you honestly praise silva for winning that fight?|||

Haha. So now people are making excuses for Travis Lutter to discredit something Anderson has done? LOL, priceless.
Its a great example of Anderson beating an opponent by fighting them in their own world.
Question is, how the hell can you NOT give Anderson credit for that :)|||

Lutter mounted Silva..FULL MOUNT and silva had to be saved by the bell.
look at the Hendo fight http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=9424198049
1st round Hendo took him down with 3 minutes left in the round. Ended the round on top.
2nd round Silva took him down, Hendo was up in less than a minute. Then Silva was able to get on top of him, from which he eventually got the choke. Hendo was marinated and ready by then.
so from the bottom, Silva proved nothing from that fight, except that it is his weakest position
Sonnen doesn't try to pass, he's just tight with constant punches. I'm not saying He's gonna win, but it will be a change of scenery for Silva. I'm not a big fan of Sonnen, but he doesn't mess around|||
