Check out that head movement while sparring with his brother who has arguably some of the best hands in MMA
Yeah just sparring but still shows how well rounded and fast Fedor is|||Anderson Silva's striking>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Fedor's striking.
Check out this video of Anderson sparring with Nog:
And check out this Video of Anderson actually fighting in a pro-boxing match:
Anderson is a MUCH more 'technical' striker than Fedor is.|||

Um so you think outboxing Big Nog makes Silva better than Fedor?
What happened when Fedor stood with Big Nog during his prime in Pride? Oh yeah Fedor knocked him down about 10 times per match
MasterEnemy I posted this thread with the purpose of seeing how long it took for you to respond to it since every time someone posts something about Fedor you are all over them lol
Is it a jealousy factor that Fedor gets so much more recognition than your favorite fighter in Silva? Or is it something else?
Oh and in response to your comment regarding Anderson being a more technical striker than Fedor I agree, BUT I believe that Fedor's unorthodox striking gets the job done even when it seems he is at a striking disadvantage (Arlovski).
Point is Fedor would KO Anderson :)
Write up an essay on how I am wrong, I'm heading out so I will read it later! :)|||

Nope. But it does show Anderson is just fine handling someone that size. Me posting the video of him fighting an actuall professional boxer in an actuall boxing match shows that he is better in teh striking (imo of course) than Fedor is.

Jealosy? Of what?? I'm not an MMA fighter, I could care less. And I do like Fedor by the way. I just can't stand people that have a case of 'cling-to-sack-itus' which seems to infect most people who are Fedor fans.
If I wanted to be around Anderson Silva jock stradlers I'd still be hanging around the 'Sherdog' froums.
And Anderson is not even close to being my favorite fighter. You're thinking of 'KillaBee', whom you will probably meet at some point in this thread when he sees it. And I will probably back him on alot of what he says too :)

I've allready covered this topic in another thread that was made a while back. No need to do it again.
I will say that Arlovski, Cro-Cop and Semmy Schlitt are not Anderson Silva.
They do not posess the elusiveness, accuracy, timing and ability to place K.O. power in even a jab like Silva does. If Fedor ever did fight Silva, he would seriously have to consider taking it to the ground for the win imo.|||They are both AMAZING fighters, each being supremely better in different aspects and I wouldn't dare try to compare one to another(EDIT:Unless they fight). They are both beasts, studs or whatever you want to call them. And regardless of any argument people will form for one against the other, history will place them in the right place.
No argument here.
A. Silva and Fedor are BOTH gods of mma, period. And, for the love of god, dont 4get about BJ. He is definitly right up there as well(to say the least).|||i'd have to say Silva has the edge in striking, Fedor has the clear advantage in the clinch (not muy thai clinch) and the edge on the ground.
BJ is definitely up there. After his fight wit Diego I pretty much had him on my list as #1.... but the hype after that match sorta faded, until next time :) . I also believe Jose Aldo should be in the discussion, top 5. Sure he needs more proof against the top fighters. But after Faber than more ppl should include him for sure.|||

Usually, when a fighter is very successful, he gets a lot of fans. I've been watching Fedor forever, and he has been nothing short of spectacular everytime out. How can you not hug on his nuts?
You should be glad that people are spazzing out over someone who is actually very accomplished and is a legit p4p ranked fighter instead of guys that just play the part like Kimbo, Lesnar, or Pudzi.
Fedor is an anomaly, he doesn't fit the idea of what a fighter should be. He's not someone you are familiar with from youtube or pro wrestling, and if anyone would hug his nuts as much as everyone hugs Brock Lesnar's, then the world is a better place for it.|||I used to HATE Fedor, buhh as I watched him I grew to like him because he's a nice guy, he's humble, and he always manages to pull out the W. I'd rather hang on his nuts than hang on Lesnar's who is a terrible fighter.|||Brock has no where near the mma skill of Fedor
but what he has, works against 95% of heavyweights out their
-super strength
-super toughness
-good speed and agility, especially for his size
-confidence
-good cardio from his great work ethic
-a beast with his takedowns and from the attributes above^
-a beast on top from his wrestling skill and from these attributes^^
I'd love to see this fight with Fedor, as will everyone else. The only shot Fedor has would be a submission or a lucky punch while brockis goin for the takedown. Brock will not keep it standing, its not his style, against Fedor especially. and remember, Rogers was able to take down Fedor. Fedor was not able to submit Rogers. Because Rogers' top game is not that good/not as good as his heavy bombs, he elected to stay up and test it. And he did alright
Having said this, brock is probably right outside the top 10 p4p, but what he has and uses, works against most.
there may be more Brock Haters than Fedor nut huggers.|||

Haha.
Fujita is not a good striker either. I do have to say that as embarrassing as that clip is for Fedor, it is impressive how iron clad the mans chin is.
You could have added the Arlovski shots too if you wanted.
Regardless, Fedor is still 30-1 against some impressive comp, and Anderson Silva has a great resume too.|||

Wow, what do you know, we agree on something lol.
The only twist I'd add to that is, IF Fedor did land some shots on Silva, I don't think he could with-stand them. But he'd have to land them first, and as so many others have found out, that is easier said than done.|||
What happened to GSP when he got clipped by someone who wasn't even ranked at WW?
Fedor isn't flawless, no fighter is. Anderson Silva has had some very embarrassing moments in MMA. That's the nature of MMA, you cant be prepared for everything at all times. What separates Fedor from the rest is that he always perseveres. He gets clipped, he finds a way to stay in the fight. GSP gets clipped, he taps out.|||

How is this embarassing? Everyone's gonna get rocked at some point - he thought he had his number and dropped his hands a bit coming in. Don't forget he then tenderized his ribs with a kick, whaled on his chin with a huge left and then choked his * out less than 2 mins later. I wish I could be as embarassed as Fedor.
