im sorry i dont see how u can leave anderson silva off your list... the guy has defeated everyone the ufc sends his way

Like I said, my P4P is more talent based than record based. I believe if Anderson and any of those top 10 guys were the same weight, Anderson would get smoked.
Anderson's attributes IMO
Jiu Jitsu = Average
Striking = Great
Wrestling = Below Average
MMA Rating = 75|||i understand its your opinion but come on man... if your going to give shields average striking anderson deserves good jiu jitsu i mean he is a black belt an his striking deserves to be elite i mean wat else does he have to do|||LOL Ignore Jbrock he's and Anderson hater. lol A really dumb one too. lol|||yea i hope anderson gets to fight gsp an destroys him so everyone will realize who the best really is|||

i understand its your opinion but come on man... if your going to give shields average striking anderson deserves good jiu jitsu i mean he is a black belt an his striking deserves to be elite i mean wat else does he have to do

Look at the criteria. Elite means you could hang with the pro's in that certain aspect. In no way shape or form could he hang in K-1 or pro boxing. I mean how are you gonna hang with pro's when you're getting rocked by Chael Sonnen and Demian Maia.
As for Anderson's jiu jitsu, I'm going by what I see on the film. He has a few submissions but where is his guard, sweeps, guard passes and top game? His BJJ is certainly good enough to get by in MMA but there is a reason he didn't want to go to the ground with Maia or Leites.
With all that said, I could see an argument being made for his BJJ being "Good" (Even if he gets his guard passed reguarly when the fight hits the ground). However, I can't see an argument for his striking to be "Elite".
I also don't think he's a bad fighter. I actually think he's a great fighter. After all, how could you go on the win streak he's on and not be great? I just don't think he's one of the top 10 most talented fighters in the world.|||all-right im not arguing anymore obviously we have a difference of opinions.... an i can agree wit every other fighter on your list since u went only on talent (i still feel record has a major key in the p4p rankings IMO) except for cain an allistair i just fell cain would dominate him in a fight just my opinion|||I'm a little confused as to how GSP doesn't get elite level wrestling, especailly because it makes it look like you are saying that him and Fitch are completly even aside from striking, but we've already seen that before and they aren't, don't get me wrong Fitch is an amazing fighter, but there is a clear gap in the overall skill level between him and GSP.|||1.GSP
2.Anderson Silva
3.Jose Aldo
4.Cain Velasquez
5. Dominick Cruz
6.Frankie Edgar
7.Nick Diaz
8.Gray Maynard
9. Rashad Evans
10. Gilbert Melendez|||

GSP's wrestling alone isn't elite. It's his transition from the striking to the wrestling that makes him so dangerous. That is why I give his MMA Rating a 100 because he's one of the very best at putting everything together for MMA.
Fitch in comparison only gets an 85 because he's not as good as putting the whole MMA game together, so there is a clear difference between him and GSP's entire MMA game. However, I don't think there is much difference in their abilities as pure wrestlers. I'd actually put my money on Fitch in a pure wrestling match.|||HOW THE HELL can anyone have Jon Jones on their list ? He is unproven he has beaten ONE top level fighter he is untested in so many ways It's unreal.
And as for the Silva hater. Are you really that naive ? Silva has an amazing BJJ ground game he just never uses It because he would rather Ko you.
Also GSP has good stand up ? How ? He has out jabbed one fighter he has average stand up at best he also has average BJJ see (Dan Hardy fight for more details)
Your just pulling this out your * tbh mate Diaz doesn't have elite striking he has good striking he gets by on his brains.|||haha any1 who would put Bones on #2 and leave Silva out of the top 10 is obviously completely insane, has no idea what he's talking about and should NEVER be taken seriously about ANYTHING.|||

With this logic fighters like Manhoef, Overeem and Le arent elite since they have gotten KO'd which is much worse than rocked by lesser strikers who couldnt "make it" on the pro level.

You missed the Henderson fight? Also, where is his sweeps and passes? Come on man. lol You couldnt possibly have seen all of his fights.
